About Me

Hi, I’m Matthew.

I have lived in Luton for more than 20 years and founded Mablo Property Maintenance in 2026 to provide handyman and property maintenance services to customers in Luton and the surrounding areas.

Before becoming a professional handyman, I spent nearly 30 years working in the IT industry and from 2014-2026 worked as an IT contractor providing system administration, network, and automation services to household names such as TUI and Associated British Foods.

The IT contract market, and the IT industry in general, has changed considerably over the last few years and in January 2026 I decided that fiddling about with computers was not how I wanted to spend the next – and probably last – 15 years of my working life. Instead, I wanted to start a business doing things I enjoy: building, maintaining, and fixing things.

Although I have many years’ experience completing DIY tasks around the home, before unleashing myself on an unsuspecting public, I undertook the City & Guilds Handyman Course at Able Skills. As well as polishing my existing skills, the course has given me the expertise and confidence to complete a wide range of jobs to the high standards that customers expect.
